The Energy Explorers pavilion invites you to discover the fascinating world of energies ! While having fun, discover how five renewable energies work : wind, solar, biomasse, hydraulic and geothermal.
The Tropiquarium developed this building with Romande Energie’s expertise. This collaboration in addition to the creation of the pavilion, allowed the installation of a heat pump and solar panels. These initiatives have contributed to the establishment of a more efficient sustainable system within the Tropiquarium’s infrastructure !
Since 2009, a wood chip heating plant has effectively replaced the old oil-fired power plant and provides thermal energy to cool down the Tropiquarium buildings.
